When Chicago deejay Howard Miller witnessed the mayhem Natalie
Wood and Tab Hunter (seen here escaping from a crowd of young
fans on a fire escape) caused during a publicity tour, he arranged for
Tab to meet Dot Records producer Randy Wood, believing that most
of those young (mostly female) fans were record buyers; he was
right and Tab’s “Young Love” became a number-one hit
