oger Florentine and Jeffrey Buck met while both were
working at the Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia, but it
wasn’t until three years later that the couple began dating.
At that time, a job relocation had them flying thousands
of miles to see one another, until they settled in St. Louis, Missouri, before
moving to Santa Barbara three years ago.
Roger proposed marriage on the Santa Monica Pier, just as the
sun was setting. When Jeff accepted the offer, they both put on David
Yurman-designed black diamond rings, and celebrated with a surprise
stay at Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica, where they toasted
their future with champagne.
The duo knew they wanted to commit to each other with a ceremony
at the Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore in Montecito. With fifty of their
closest friends and family members, they said their vows on October
5, 2012, under a custom pergola draped in white linen and swagged
with magnolia leaves. The elegant ceremony took place in the Mariposa
